This is a well crafted book looking at the progressively dysfunctional politics at the heart of the American body politic. Gridlock, hyper partisanship, voter suppression and the absolute nadir of American statesmanship is well chronicled in this book. Even handed, and well reference it refuses to lay the blame at only one political party. However, it would difficult to the point of torture to avoid the conclusion that the GOP and the TEA Party are perpetuating the current political dysfunction.
